Chinese dance

Chinese and international infusion of exercises
We have body-building exercise from the western countries, yoga from India, Latin dance from the Latin America and ballet from Russia ……What about excercies from China, a country with a long cultural history and rich artistic forms? The Chinese folk dances look soft and gentle, but actually it has high requirement of muscle control, physical coordination and rhythms, very suitable for the fitness occasions. 
     
The Physical Club has an experienced fitness instructor team. They refined and collected the essence from the Chinese folk dances, and developed a unique fitness exercise program based on Chinese folk dances.   

Northeast Big Yangge Dance was formed in Northeast China on the basis of dramas and dances introduced by migrant artists from the inland regions. In the Qianlong and Jiajing Regimes of the Qing Dynasty, such singing & dancing activity was blended with the passion and romance of the local people, forming a unique dance with a steady, tough and colorful style. The Mongolian people are good at singing and dancing. The folk dance popular among them was originally evolved from a singing & dancing form named "Tage" (stepping dance) in the 12th century.           

The Dai folk dances have a history of more than 1000 years. Detailed decription of such dances is seen in the ancient book History of Late Han Dynasty— Southwest Folks. The dances have a nice and quiet style, with passion deeply inside. Features: diversified hand positions, sculpturesque postures, bending limbs and joints and a unique "3-bending" shape. This dance school is mainly represented by the peacock dance.              

Tibetan people have the taste for singing & dancing since the ancient time. Their dance was evolved from a "country dance" in the 8th century. The dances are mainly represented by movements imitating the hunting behaviors. The Tibetan dances are reputed for the passonate and powerful style.         

Dances of the South of the Yangtze River style are mainly presented with movements refined from behaviors of women living around the water towns in Zhejiang, and special rhythms of South of the Yangtze River style. The dance works highlight the rhythmic beauty of body and sculpturesque beauty of postures, with both clear-cut feeling of the time and strong taste of the South of the Yangtze River.   

As early as in the West Han Dynasty before Christ, the Uyghur singing & dance form Yutian Music was introduced to inland China. Uyghur dances have an implicit and nice style. The female dancers have soft and unfolding postures, while the male dancers have a passonate and clear dancing style. Slightly shaking knees and spinning body represents a unique performance style of the Uyghur folk dances.          

The Korean dance art has a long heritage. It is stated in the ancient book History of Late Han Dynasty that in the Fuyu Period (1300 BC), the Fuyu people drunk and danced a drum dance throughout the late winter sacrifice season. It indicated that the "drum dance" already existed long long time ago. Features: wide range of motion, consistence of the performer's interior emotion with the movements, and good revealing of an unrestrained and happy emotion. The music sounds very nice and has varied rhythms.
